Hillside villa we are building for a client
This is a private villa we are building for a client on a hillside in Maenam, on the north coast of Koh Samui. The client's plans are for a three-bedroom home with a sea view. It is the client's villa; our role is the building work. We announced the project in December 2025 and started clearing the land at the end of that month. Because the plot slopes, the first big job was a retaining wall: a strong wall that holds back the hillside so the house can sit safely above it. We started the wall in January 2026, and by March 2026 it was built. That month we also shared new renders of the finished villa. Maenam is one of the nine areas of Koh Samui where we have built. This project shows how we take on a client's home from bare, sloping land.

Why the wall comes first
Many plots on Koh Samui sit on a slope. Before a house can go up, the hillside below it has to be held in place, or heavy rain can wash the ground away.
