South Beach Resort and Beach Club, Thong Krut, Koh Samui

South Beach Resort and Beach Club is a new resort that Stellar Property Global is building in Thong Krut, on the south coast of Koh Samui. It sits directly across the road from South Beach Inn, the boutique hotel we opened in March 2025, on its own plot. The announced plans include eight guest rooms with a family suite, a spa with a sauna, steam room and ice bath, a Mexican restaurant and a large beach-style pool. Three one-bedroom bungalows next to the resort, each with a private pool, are being renovated to join it. We announced the project on 24 February 2026. By late August 2026 the roof steel was going up and the pool was being dug. We are designing and building it ourselves, as we converted South Beach Inn. It is not open yet and is not taking bookings.

South Beach Resort and Beach Club is the resort we are building in Thong Krut, directly across the road from South Beach Inn. It adds what the inn does not have: a pool, a spa and a second restaurant. It is under construction and not yet taking bookings.

What we are building

The plans we announced in February 2026, and added to in April, cover four parts. There are eight guest rooms, including a family suite with two bedrooms, a lounge and a wraparound balcony. There is a spa with a sauna, a steam room and an ice bath.

There is also a Mexican restaurant and a large pool shaped like a beach. These are the plans as announced, and details such as balcony jacuzzis can change as the building goes up.

Next to the resort, we are renovating three one-bedroom bungalows, each with a private pool. They are called Paradise, Temptation and Allure, and they will become part of the resort. We will update this page as each part is finished.

Why across the road from South Beach Inn

South Beach Inn opened in March 2025 on the beach at Thong Krut, with eight rooms and its restaurant on the sand. The inn has no pool, and guests often mention it. The resort plot across the road gives them one.

We already run South Beach Inn on the beach side, with Smash Burger on the Beach as its restaurant. The resort grows South Beach, our places on this stretch of coast, into a small cluster.

On the neighbouring plot we are also renovating a beach house called Queen of the South, from three bedrooms to five, with a pool. It is a separate property, not part of the resort.

Where the build is now

We announced the project on 24 February 2026. Our April and May updates confirmed the spa and pool plans, and in May the three bungalows joined the resort. By July 2026 the buildings were rising.

In late August 2026 the structural steel roof was going on and the pool was being dug. Work on the bungalows' interiors and pools carried on into October.
